  • Mercedes Méndez Fernández Hyundai
    Mercedes Méndez Fernández
Over the last 4 years, Mercedes Méndez (Madrid, 1976) has been responsible for Online, Web Site and CRM Marketing at Hyundai Motor Spain, though she has already been with the company for eleven. This Mac fan since 1996 breaks with many prevailing stereotypes: woman in the automotive industry, passionate about computers and new technologies, and connected 24/7 both for work and friends. Social networks? She belongs to almost all of them, but admits that there's nothing she likes more than sharing long, post-meal conversations with family and friends. Though her colleagues consider her a "freak" (common term referring to anything technology-related or not readily understood), she has built up a digital environment over the last few years with the publicity department through which Hyundai has gradually acquired a wider web presence. Special actions especially appeal to her, going beyond the typical banner and searching for new opportunities to exist in this setting. What's the secret? Not only to be prepared and act strategically, one must also count with a solid team and take part in all of its processes. It sounds like a cliché, but it's absolutely true... it´s the only way to meet goals. So what's she up to now? New Thinking. New Possibilities: a new brand positioning with which she identifies completely and believes in to the core. A new concept where another way of thinking is possible and breaks with the establishment... well, just like herself! :)
